Having students work online together can be daunting as a teacher, because you have to let go of some control. Image how good your students will feel when they see someone's compliment or praise. It would be best to moderate these so that you can preview everything before it is posted. Have students post kind remarks about their peers. Padlet is a great place to set up an ongoing Brag Board for your classes. ![]() While academics are important, so is community building. Alternatively, you can set up moderation so that you can tell which ones you have and have not answers and only publish the question once it has an answer. Whether you want a parking lot for questions during a lesson, or a place for parents to post their non-emergent questions, Padlet is a great place to host all of those questions and answers! The Wall organization is a really good choice for this idea and you can set it up so that new posts show up at the top. You can also simply post the text, image, resource you'd like for students to analyze directly on the Padlet and have them comment as above! Students can add their thoughts and comment on other's directly on the board as they walk around. If you still want kiddos moving around, create a board (or multiple, but you may need to create multiple accounts to get as many boards as you need) using the Shelf organization and create a column for each "stop" in your walk. We all love a good gallery walk! There are a few ways to do this. Students can create flows of ideas easily and share, save, or collaborate with others. The Canvas Style board is great for prewriting and mind-mapping. Students can work on one board together to plan, collect resources, communicate asynchronously, or present information. Padlet also makes it incredibly easy to share a board with collaborators. Padlet offers a variety of organization methods, from posts, to columns, to maps and timelines. Padlet images free#Students can create a FREE Padlet account too! This makes it so easy for them to share their boards and collaborate with their peers. Students can record videos, record their screen, add text, images, and even links. If you want to add choice and variety of response, but keep everything in one place, Padlet is the answer. With FlipGrid, students can post videos.that's pretty much it. With Padlet, it is web-based and does not require an app for students to record and post videos. Padlet images download#For students who don't have access to download apps (parent controls), this can cause an issue. With FlipGrid, students have to have the mobile App on their phone. However, there are some limitations that have frustrated me in the past. Yes, FlipGrid is AMAZING! I love it and so do millions of other educators! Its beautiful and has a wide variety of features that really support and enhance classroom instruction. Padlet is a GREAT alternative to FlipGrid ![]() Since Padlet is web based, her students can use ANY device to access and interact with the board. When students complete an activity, they post on the Padlet board! They must either post a picture or a video of them completinging the task.
